After-hours enquiries, without legal advice from a bot

A large share of high-value legal enquiries arrive when the phone is off. The assistant on your site can answer from your practice pages, say clearly that it is AI, refuse to advise, and take a name and number for the morning.

  • States it is AI on every surface the visitor sees
  • Will not advise, predict outcomes, or quote unpublished fees
  • Private preview of your actual site, not a generic legal script

built for regulated firms

What a solicitor can actually put on the site

The SRA has not written a separate chatbot rulebook. The existing duties still apply: don't mislead, don't hold the bot out as a solicitor, keep client data in check. The preview is set up that way before you see it.

  • Disclosure on the demo page, widget header, greeting and footer
  • Refusal to give legal advice, predict outcomes, or invent fees
  • Answers only from your published practice pages
  • Name and phone captured for morning follow-up
  • Probes run before the link is sent — a failed probe means no preview that day
  • Nothing live on your domain until you agree a written quote

The preview is free. Going live is a setup fee plus a monthly fee, quoted in writing after you've used it. We do not publish a monthly price here because the UK figure is not locked; we will not invent one.

what you get

A private preview, then a quote if you want it live

  1. 1

    Paste your website

The public URL is enough. We don't need a login, a CMS export, or a call first.

  2. 2

    We crawl and check it

We read the pages we're allowed to (robots.txt is respected), brand the assistant, and run refusal probes — including invented prices and false handoffs — before anyone outside the team sees it.

  3. 3

    You get a private link

Usually within one business day. No login. It expires after 21 days. Try to make it invent a fee; it should refuse.

  4. 4

Go live only if you want it

Same assistant, one script tag. Setup and monthly are quoted in your currency after you've used the preview. We don't put it on a live site for free.

questions

Asked before the first preview

Is a chatbot allowed on a UK solicitor's website?

The SRA does not ban them. It does expect that visitors are not misled about who they are speaking to, that the system does not give legal advice, and that you remain responsible for the output. We lead with disclosure for that reason.

Will it quote my fees?

Only if those fees are on the pages we crawled. If they aren't, it refuses rather than guessing. That is deliberate.

What about after-hours enquiries?

A large share of high-value legal enquiries arrive outside office hours. The assistant can still answer from your site and take a number. It will not pretend a solicitor has been handed the file if that has not happened.

Do you store client matter details?

The preview captures what the visitor types, plus name and phone if they leave them, so you can follow up. It is not a case-management system and it is not trained on privileged files. Live installs stay on the published site unless we agree a separate scope.

I'm a sole practitioner. Is this for big firms?

The outbound work this sits next to is aimed at owner-run firms in England and Wales, typically a handful of people. The preview works the same on a small site as on a larger one, provided there are enough public pages to crawl.

Paste the site. We'll send the preview.
